Broadsheet Privacy Policy
Effective October 30, 2026
Broadsheet is built so that your reading stays yours. There is no Broadsheet account, no advertising, and no tracking.
What stays on your devices and in your iCloud
Everything in your library (saved articles, feeds, highlights, notes, tags, reading positions and settings) is stored on your devices and synced through your own private iCloud account. We cannot see it.
Summaries, topics, questions about an article, Morning Edition, and the natural listening voices all run on your device. Your reading is not sent to us or to any AI service.
Your newsletter address
If you turn on your Broadsheet email address, newsletters sent to it are held on our mail server (run on Cloudflare) only until the app downloads them, and are then deleted. Mail that is never collected is deleted after 30 days. The server keeps the address itself and a scrambled (hashed) copy of the key your app uses to collect mail. You can delete the address and everything waiting for it at any time in Settings.
Websites and services you choose
To show you an article or a feed, Broadsheet connects directly to that website, the way a browser does. To suggest feeds, it sends your search words to Feedly's public directory. YouTube transcripts come from YouTube.
If you connect Gmail, Mastodon, Bluesky, Readwise or Notion, Broadsheet talks to those services directly from your device, and the sign-in is kept in your device's keychain. We never receive it. Their own privacy policies apply.
Purchases
Membership is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment. We receive no payment details.
Data we collect
None. Broadsheet has no analytics or tracking, and we do not sell or share data.
Children
Broadsheet is not directed to children under 13.
